DAY 3: 12th May 2006 Weather--Sunny
Woke up at 6am...left hotel at abt 6:45am to eat a a small eatery near our hotel...I tried "3 colour chee cheong fan"(3 different types of chee cheong fan) with yuan yang(a mixture of coffee and tea)The yuan yang was gd!! the chee cheong fan taste ok only...We also ordered carrot cake and rice dumpling to share.

8am we gathered at the lobby with our luggage to deposit in the hotel, and with our bags to bring to ShenZhen. hohoho...the 4 of us actually brought the least stuffs lo...and among the 4 of us...my bag is the smallest!! The rest of the tourmates brought hand-carry luggages, backpacks, some even bring along those "pull pull"luggages...
Then we took train to Lo Wu stn, which is a 45mins trian ride.
When we reached ShenZhen, the tourguide there just drive us ard shenzhen....he talked a lot...but of all the stuffs he talked...there is actually 1 main point..."shenzhen has really changed a lot during the last 25 years" the rest of the words that came out of his mouth are all repetitions...kept repeating the same thing...haiz...so we just sit inside the coach...let him drive us ard...hear the same stuffs over and over again...then finally he brought us to a place that introduces us the overview of shenzhen...umm...that is also a boring tour...let us c the miniature of the whole shenzhen...let us c some stones...some jades...then bring us to buy jewelleries AGAIN...the 4 of us bored again...so went out early to wait outside...
Afterthat is lunch time...went to a local resturant...the food...also dun suit my taste...except the roasted pigeon is quite gd...the rest...just so so...and very very salty...and most of the utensils all chipped one lo...then got 1 auntie from our tour told us not to put our food on the plate cos the plate is very dirty one...uhmm...so that's not a very enjoyable lunch...outside the resturant also got lots of beggers...
Next, we are brought to some place that introduces us chinese medicine...heard that it is a rule by the chinese govt that every tour grps must be brought to such chinese medicines exhibitions...ok...so we just listen to those professors introducing some herbs to us. The 4 of us as usual are the odd ones out...cos we dun have anything to ask abt herbs...
Next stop is the Cultural village and Splendid China. In this place, we saw all the miniature size of all the significant architectures in China.

After that at 6pm, we went into a theatre to watch a performance abt all the minorities of China..the show was nice.
After the show the 4 of us rushed to rent the traditional costume to take a few shots...but behind these few shots there is actually some discontent with our tourguide...he is really very scheming...shall not elaborate on it.

Actually i also dunno what costume i'm wearing...actually intending to wear the Qing Dynasty's gege's costume one...but i last min change my mind...
Next, dinner at the same place where we had our lunch..the dinner taste better than the lunch...
Afterthat the tourguide kind of force us to go night market...he is really very scheming...he asked whether we wanna go night market...and he added another line "if there is 1 person who dun wanna go...the whole tour will go back to hotel" who on earth would dare to say no?? Then he says the coach drive us to the night market we have to pay the parking fees...1 person 10 RMB...so total he would collect 220RMB for just 2 hrs of "parking" I really feel like a big carrot being place on the chopping board for him to chop lor...
So there we are, at "dong men" night market at ard 8pm.
The stuffs there is really very cheap...I bought a pink top for only S$1.50 and another top for abt S$7+ actually got a lot more stuffs to shop one lo...but too bad...we dun have time...2 hrs really not enough!!
But no choice...have to go back at 10pm...went to Ferlicity Hotel (5 stars)...this hotel is just opposite the ShenZhen train stn lo...heard that at night got lots of women "pulling customers" infront of the hotel....hmm...

After checking into the hotel, LL's cousin who stayed in ShenZhen brought us to Shangri-La hotel's observatory for a drink. I forgot the name of my drink le...umm..its like coffee with milk and with some alcohol. Then later we when back to the hotel...but LL gg to stay at her cousin's house...so although we got 2 twin rooms...we only slept in 1 of the rooms only..the other room we used for bathing..haha...cos got bath tub...then we took photos in our rooms with the bath robes...and YY and XT acting as 'ru lai fuo' and 'guan shi yin'...very funny...So we ended up sleeping at 4am.
